It’s nearly Autumn already! This year has literally flown by. I don’t know about you, but even after all this time, September still gives me that familiar ‘back to school’ feeling. The new season feels like a fresh start.

As well as stocking up on cute stationery and setting some goals for the remainder of the year, I think it’s the perfect time to refresh your hair and maybe even embrace a whole new look.

Not sure where to start? Here are 5 simple ways to transform your hair this autumn…

• New Cut

Sleek, expensive looking straight hair was all over the Autumn/Winter catwalks, so my top tip for the new season is to pop in for a trim and keep things looking neat and tidy. Your hair will thank you for it. Full fringes were everywhere too, so why not consider having one cut in at your next appointment?

• New Colour

Treating yourself to a fresh colour job is great way to head into autumn. This year, the trends are literally mixing it up – anything goes! Whether you opt for lightly toasted blonde, super-subtle ombre or beautiful balayage, your hair will look sassy and up-to-date.

• Improve the Condition

We’re heading towards colder weather and hours spent indoors with the heating on, so it’s the ideal time to commit to regularly using a deep conditioner. I’ve shared my love of Olaplex on the blog before, but it really is a must-have if your hair is over-processed, over-straightened and in need of a hug. I love it so much, I’m offering the treatment for £15 in September. Simply mention it when booking your appointment.

• Switch Up Your Products

Last month, I introduced Maria Nila products to the salon. I have to say, I am loving them and so is everyone else. Personally, I’m addicted to the Argan Oil. It smells delicious, leaves hair feeling silky soft and also tames those pesky flyaways.

• Wear It A New Way

It’s time to swap summer’s beachy waves for something sleeker. This look is bang on-trend, so stock up on serum and heat protecting spray if you want to keep up. For a quick, but dramatic change, why not play around with your parting? Side partings are in and low ponytails are also hot right now, both of which are very easy to recreate at home.

How will you be transforming your hair this autumn?

See you in the salon!
