Clair and Charles were married at Kin House, a beautifully restored Georgian manor in the Wiltshire countryside. They had a clear vision for every detail of their wedding day, and I loved playing my part in helping them bring it all to life.
‘Rather than adhering to a strict theme or colour palette, our wedding was inspired by a blend of influences that felt personal and meaningful. We drew from Wes Anderson’s whimsical, romantic aesthetic, adding a timeless twist that incorporated elements of the English countryside. It was important to me to acknowledge tradition while breaking away from it in subtle, intentional ways. This approach carried over into every detail, from the décor to the attire, creating an atmosphere that was elegant but never rigid, fun but never forced… I wanted a sense of effortlessness – where everything came together naturally and authentically. The result was a relaxed yet refined celebration, with personal touches that reflected our personalities and values, making the day feel original and true to us.’

The Hair
Clair wanted a soft, romantic, effortless bridal look. Her goal was to strike a balance between timeless elegance and a natural, relaxed vibe. She wasn’t looking for anything overly styled or rigid. Instead, she wanted something that would move naturally with her throughout the day and feel comfortable from morning to night.
We achieved this by creating two different looks. Although you can book me to stay and restyle your hair for the evening, with my help, Clair felt confident enough doing this herself.
I very rarely ask brides to wash their hair on the morning of their wedding day, but for this look I wanted full control. I started by blow drying Clair’s hair, prepping with Colour Wow Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer* and Raise the Root Thicken and Lift Spray*. Essentially creating our second look at the same time as the first, I used a large round ceramic brush to create bounce at the root with a smooth finish.
Adding hair extensions for even more volume, I then used my Babyliss 32mm curling tongs to create some big bouncy curls. A light dusting of Fat MUK Volumising Dust helped retain volume at the root and create a grit-like hold. Finally, I pulled the hair into a low bun, letting pieces fall to create a soft, romantic look. Clair opted for a veil which, as always, I placed after she was in her dress and finishing touches had been made.
‘Amelia worked wonders, not only for me but for my bridesmaids as well. She crafted a unique style for each of them, ensuring that their hair reflect-ed their individual personalities. Some had intricate updos, while others opted for flowing waves, and Amelia effortlessly brought each vision to life. She worked with a variety of hair types and preferences with such grace and skill that everyone felt stunning and confident.’

In the evening, Clair was able to remove the pins securing her bun, give her hair a shake, and lightly brush it through. Voila… a bouncy blow dry!
