I’m a hair stylist and a product junkie. I can’t resist trying a new shampoo and I love sampling the latest conditioners, oils and treatments. I like to think I’ve tried almost everything, so you don’t have to! With that in mind, here are my top 5 hair products…
Lush Shampoo Bar
I discovered this little beauty before my recent holiday. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much, but whoa! It is small, but mighty! It left my hair squeaky clean and smelling amazing. In fact, the whole bathroom smelt great!
Lush have lots of solid shampoo bars to choose from online, but not as many in store. I opted for Jason and the Argan Oil. With argan oil being one of the main ingredients, I knew this would be perfect for my holiday hair after being in the sun all day. It cost me £6.50 and it’s barely shrunk at all. I can imagine I’ll be using this for the next 3 months. I wash my hair 2/3 times a week, so that’s pretty good going. With no plastic packaging, it’s zero waste and vegan too!
Maria Nila True Soft Conditioner
This is an ideal conditioner for normal to dry hair. Another argan-based product, it leaves my hair feeling super soft and light. It also has colour guard protection, so no need for separate colour saving products. You can read more about the Maria Nila range here.
Kenra Blowdry Spray
If your hair tends to frizz and can’t fight the humidity, then this product is perfect for you. A fellow hairdresser recommended Kenra and I love the brand’s styling range. Reducing drying time, this product leaves hair light and shiny. It’s ideal for medium to course hair and it also contains thermal protection, so you can skip your usual heat protection products.
Kenra Dry Texture Spray
I don’t know how I managed without this in my wedding kit! I love a textured updo and this is the perfect product to help me create it. It acts a little like dry shampoo, absorbing oil to add fullness and make backcombing easier. It also has some hold, so you don’t need as much hairspray. It’s the perfect product for freshly washed and styled hair that needs a little ooomph!
Tangle Teaser
I mean, how do people live without one! I know this isn’t a product as such, but I think everyone needs this amazing brush, even those of you with short hair. It makes brushing so much easier. There’s no more fighting through knots which means less damage. We all know damaged hair makes me sad!
